Renowned toy brand Mattel, under its collaboration with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), launched numerous products themed around the "Monday Night War" – the ratings battle of wrestling programs from the late 90s to early 2000s – at this year's Walmart Collector Con. This time, we're introducing the "Monday Night War The Rock" 6-inch action figure, with a suggested retail price of US$22.97, now available for order on the Walmart official website!
Mattel's wrestling toys are a beloved series among many American toy collectors and wrestling fans. The "Monday Night War" featured in this release refers to the ratings battle between World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE) and World Championship Wrestling (WCW) during their Monday night programming from 1995 to 2001. This intense commercial rivalry significantly elevated the quality of the shows, repeatedly creating spectacular matches, making it one of the major events in wrestling history. The Monday Night War ultimately concluded with WWE acquiring WCW, and the various anecdotes from that period are still fondly recounted by many fans today.
This Monday Night War The Rock figure stands approximately 17.5 cm tall, faithfully recreating the image of a young, long-haired The Rock during his professional wrestling career in the WWF. The head sculpt captures The Rock's classic eyebrow raise expression and his confident, slightly disdainful upward gaze, showcasing his unparalleled self-assurance. Accessories include a T-shirt with an "R" logo and a microphone, allowing collectors to recreate The Rock's iconic pre-match trash-talking moments!
In addition to The Rock, this series also features other renowned wrestlers such as Rob Van Dam, Harlem Heat's Booker T, and Stevie Ray. Each character comes with BAF (Build-a-Figure) parts, which, when collected, allow you to assemble "The Disciple" action figure!
