Bandai Co., Ltd.'s new combining robot toy series "UNITROBORN (ユニトロボーン)" will release its latest product, the "UNITROBO Onigiri Police Car" combining robot! The suggested retail price is 3,300 JPY, with an estimated release in April 2024.
UNITROBORN is a brand new original toy series that inherits the legacy of Bandai's early "Machine Robo" toys. The story is set around mechanical lifeforms called "UTA-ZO" who came to Earth from space. To protect Earth's peace, they can use their songs to instantly combine any nearby objects of the same color into a robot. Lobsters and apples, sharks and vending machines, hamburgers and bulldozers... all sorts of imaginative combinations can form powerful robots to defeat the mysterious enemies causing chaos.
The "UNITROBO Onigiri Police Car" combining robot maintains the series' distinctive style of preserving the original form of objects before combination, blending the unexpected "police car" and "onigiri" (rice ball). It features a clever transformation and combination mechanism; simply align the combination pegs, and it will naturally spring open and transform! By combining the articulated head and arm parts, it can expand and transform into a police robot approximately 20 cm tall! Not only can it combine with the separately sold "Melon Sword", but it can also cross-combine with other robots, opening up even more possibilities to assemble unique and creative robot designs~
