The long wait is finally over! Today (19th), the Danish LEGO toy company officially announced the latest product in its "Ideas" series, set number 21348, "Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragons Tale"! It is scheduled for full release on April 4, 2024, with a suggested retail price of US$359.99.
The official modified version of LEGO fan BoltBuilds' creation, "Dragon's Keep: Journey's End," "Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragons Tale," contains a total of 3745 pieces. The biggest difference from the original design is that the "dragon" has changed from green to red. The scene structure largely retains the initial design, creating a massive watchtower, stone bridge, city walls, and an inn. The wooden inn's roof color has been changed from the original brick red to a bolder blue and purple combination.
▼ The mighty dragon "Cinderhowl," built with various curved and Technic elements, also features fabric wings. With articulation points throughout its body, it can strike impressive poses!
There are a total of 9 minifigures, including a Dwarf Cleric, a Gnome Fighter, an Orc Rogue, an Elf Wizard, the Dragonborn Alax Jadescales (a tribute to the original green dragon), an Innkeeper, and 3 Skeletons. The brick-built "Beholder" is incredibly cool! Additionally, there's a Gelatinous Cube made with transparent blue elements, an Owlbear, and an all-black Displacer Beast, and even a Myconid.
LEGO fans can also redeem a Dungeons & Dragons adventure book, co-written by Wizards of the Coast and LEGO, for 2,700 LEGO Insiders points, offering a gaming experience beyond building! A digital version will be available for free download. On April 6th, LEGO will also invite D&D players to an epic game night, and we believe there will be more exciting content broadcast on the Dungeons & Dragons YouTube channel then! Furthermore, LEGO is expected to release a series of Dungeons & Dragons-themed minifigure blind bags in September, which is truly exciting!
