TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectors' toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., today announced the latest product from the robot-themed articulated finished product "ROBOT SPIRITS ver. A.N.I.M.E." series, the "105 Slaughter Dagger," from "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED C.E.73 STARGAZER," scheduled for release in September 2024.
The GAT-01A2R 105 Slaughter Dagger is a main unit of the irregular special forces unit "Phantom Pain," established by the secret society "Logos." It is a modification of the "105 Dagger," the official mass-produced version of the Strike Gundam. This unit's original paint scheme was changed to a dark gray color suitable for special missions, and the "Aile Striker Pack" was selected as its standard equipment. It is also equipped with anti-personnel suppression machine guns, beam sabers, and solid/beam dual-use rifles, among other armaments. Its performance and versatility are both excellent.
The "ROBOT SPIRITS 105 Slaughter Dagger ver. A.N.I.M.E." features a refined and cool exterior design based on anime setting drafts and an imposing dark gray body. It inherits the highly flexible articulated joint design of the "Strike Gundam ver. A.N.I.M.E.," utilizing designs such as interlocking shoulder armor to reproduce dynamic combat poses and high kneeling stances.
For armaments, it includes a shield, the "MX703G Beam Rifle" which can switch between solid and beam firing, and the "M703 57mm High-Energy Beam Rifle" for mid-range combat. Each can be equipped with "beam firing effects" and "machine gun firing effects." The four beam saber hilts located on the waist and backpack can be fitted with two types of beam effects—straight and curved blades—to recreate dynamic combat poses. The "12.5mm Anti-Personnel Machine Gun" installed on the front of the feet can also be equipped with machine gun firing effects to reproduce its firing state. Additionally, a set of thruster effect parts is included, which can be attached to the four thrusters on the backpack to recreate powerful aerial combat scenes.
