Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division today, at the model kit festival "HYPER PLAMO Fes.2024", unveiled for the first time a prototype of the new product "Figure-rise Standard Ple-Two" from "Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ". The release date is yet to be determined.
Towards the end of the One Year War, the "Psycommu System" developed by the Principality of Zeon amplified the potential of Newtype pilots, with the most well-known being the all-range attack weapon, the Funnel. Although Zeon lost the war, the world witnessed the outstanding combat results brought by the Psycommu System, revealing its strategic value that could influence future battlefields. However, crucial Newtype pilots were extremely rare. The Earth Federation, distrusting Newtypes, adopted inhumane "Cyber Newtype" modification and brainwashing surgeries as an alternative, while Neo Zeon, led by Haman, used cloning technology to obtain multiple Newtypes, the "Ple Series". Yet, the fate of the Ple sisters was no better than that of the Cyber Newtypes; they too became sacrifices of war.
The "Figure-rise Standard Ple-Two" utilizes excellent color separation and part division techniques to create Ple-Two in her pilot suit. Delicate details such as ribs, abdominal muscles, and a navel can be seen on the body parts, faithfully reproducing Ple-Two's slender physique. The entire body features numerous articulated points for posing, and her cool, calm personality is recreated with pre-printed face parts. Other accessories have not yet been announced.
