STAR ACE TOYS, a renowned brand dedicated to producing high-quality pop culture collectibles, recently announced a new product featuring 1960s superstar Marilyn Monroe – the 'Marilyn Monroe' 1/4 scale collectible statue, Deluxe Version. The suggested retail price is US$419, with an estimated shipping date in Q3 2024!
Marilyn Monroe, whose real name was Norma Jeane Mortenson, was one of the most famous actresses of the 1950s and 1960s, and a pioneer of the term 'sex appeal.' Monroe's acting career was always intertwined with her sex appeal, and she was known for playing 'blonde bombshell' type roles. Although her career was successful, the unimaginable immense attention and scandals made her life very stressful, and she tragically passed away in 1962 due to a barbiturate overdose. In 2023, Netflix adapted Joyce Carol Oates' novel 《Blonde》 into a film of the same name, allowing us to glimpse the legendary and tragic life of this most influential actress in film history from a different perspective.
This 'Marilyn Monroe' 1/4 scale collectible statue is based on the iconic photograph taken in 1954 on Lexington Avenue during Monroe's promotion for the film 《The Seven Year Itch》, bringing her classic pose from the photo to life. The sculpture recreates Monroe's voluminous hair, delicately presents her flawless skin, and captures the dynamic movement of her white pleated dress as it is blown up by the subway grate wind. The Deluxe Version accessories include an LED light-up display featuring a neon tube design spelling 'Marilyn Monroe.' The peach-pink light illuminates Monroe's exquisite face, allowing this great superstar to radiate captivating brilliance!
