American renowned toy manufacturer Mattel unveiled several "Masters of the Universe" themed products yesterday (26th) US time. Following the "He-Man x TMNT Origins Grayskull Turtle," we are excited to present the "Masters of the Universe: Origins Prince Adam & Cringer" set, with a suggested retail price of US$29.99, slated for release in July 2024!
"Masters of the Universe" is an animated series produced by Mattel Toys in collaboration with Filmation animation studio in 1983 to promote its eponymous toy line. The protagonist, Adam, is the Prince of Eternia and the secret guardian of Castle Grayskull. By raising the Sword of Power, which is mysteriously hidden, and shouting to the sky, "By the Power of Grayskull!", he transforms into He-Man, while his loyal friend Cringer transforms into the mighty Battle Cat!
This "Masters of the Universe: Origins Prince Adam & Cringer" set recreates Adam and Cringer's pre-transformation appearances, faithfully reproducing Prince Adam's classic pink and purple attire. The animated version of Cringer also makes its debut in this series as a multi-articulated action figure! Both figures come with interchangeable head sculpts; Cringer's features a timid, open-mouthed expression, while Prince Adam's includes the classic meme-worthy "HEYYEYAAEYAAAEYAEYAA" squinting smile that is a must-have for this particular look! The accessories also include the Sword of Power, whose usual hiding place remains a mystery, allowing Adam to raise it high and shout the iconic phrase, "By the Power of Grayskull!"
