The HOBBY Division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd. recently announced that the eighth product in its 1/144 scale plastic model "Option Parts Set Gunpla" series, the "Ballden Arm Arms," is scheduled for release in July 2024.
The Ballden Arm Arms is a support armament originating from the anime "Gundam Build Fighters Try," which aired in 2014. It utilizes multi-stage movable joint parts to form its main body frame, connecting wings, armor, and various weapons. Normally, it can fly independently as a support unit, and when its frame is expanded into "Combined Mode," it can connect to the back of a mobile suit to be used as an enhanced backpack.
The "Option Parts Set Gunpla 08 (Ballden Arm Arms)" is identical to the HGBC 1/144 version released in 2015. It includes the main unit and a large number of single-axis joint parts, dual-axis joint parts, and ball joint parts. In addition to recreating its flight mode and combined mode, it can also be customized using the joint parts with separately sold Gunpla parts.
