TAKARA TOMY of Japan has announced the latest sensational addition to its "Somen Slider" series of flowing noodle machines: the "Rayquaza-shaped Somen Slider" (レックウザ型そうめんスライダー)! It is scheduled for release on June 1, 2024, with a suggested retail price of 14,960 JPY (tax included).
Rayquaza is an ancient legendary Pokémon, renowned alongside Groudon and Kyogre. It is a green flying dragon capable of manipulating weather and controlling atmospheric humidity. Rayquaza is said to have lived in Earth's ozone layer for hundreds of millions of years, and its majestic form is rarely seen. However, when Groudon and Kyogre clash, Rayquaza descends to quell their conflict, restoring peace to the world. Legend has it that Rayquaza feeds on meteorites and can even use the meteorite energy stored within its body to Mega Evolve.
This time, TAKARA TOMY has truly dared to reach for the heavens, sincerely inviting Rayquaza to the surface world, transforming its extraordinary form into a translucent green flowing noodle machine. Once all the parts are assembled, it stands at an impressive 56 cm tall and stretches a powerful 70 cm long. The water jets out from Rayquaza's mouth, undoubtedly the divine water of ancient power, purified by the meteorite energy within its body. Noodles soaked in this circulating divine water will surely be even more springy and chewy than any ordinary alkaline noodles (chuckles). You can also decorate the tracks with the included Pokémon standees, allowing you to experience the charm of Pokémon while enjoying your noodles.
