TAKARA TOMY, the Japanese toy company, recently announced two new products from its "Transformers Masterpiece (トランスフォーマー マスターピース)" line, based on the Transformers anime series "Transformers: Super God Masterforce" produced by Toei Japan: "MP-60 Ginrai" and "MPG-09 Super Ginrai". This article will focus on the product information for "MP-60 Ginrai (ジンライ)"! It is scheduled for release in late December 2024, with a suggested retail price of 24,200 JPY (tax included).
"Transformers: Super God Masterforce" stands out from other Transformers anime with its unique flavor, incorporating transformation elements from Japanese tokusatsu shows. In addition to the classic Autobot and Decepticon factions, it features interesting concepts such as "Pretenders" (Transformers disguised as humans), "Headmasters" (human youths who transform using a transformation bracelet), and "Godmasters" (humans who transform into engine cores and then combine with large mechanical bodies). In the story, most Autobot Pretenders appear indistinguishable from ordinary adults, while the Decepticon Pretenders all have monstrous, demonic appearances, which is very captivating!
The toy's protagonist, "Ginrai," is a human truck driver in the story. After inadvertently putting on a transformation bracelet, he gains the ability to transform and combine with a large truck to become the Godmaster Ginrai! Not only does his appearance closely resemble Optimus Prime, but in the middle of the story, Ginrai begins to serve as the Autobot Supreme Commander. Later, he can further combine with the truck's trailer to become Super Ginrai, not only increasing in size but also significantly boosting his power. In his first appearance in episode 15 of the anime, he defeated the Decepticon combiner "King Poseidon."
The "MP-60 Ginrai" product content includes Ginrai (toy design version), which can fully transform from truck cab vehicle mode to robot mode, a Godmaster (ゴッドマスター) that can transform into an engine, two Ginrai-specific super-conductive rifles, and two blast effects that can be attached to the gun barrels. Whether you want to recreate Ginrai shouting "GOD ON" while transforming in the anime, or pose Godmaster Ginrai in dynamic battle stances, it's all possible! It's worth noting that this MP-60 Ginrai will be the 100th release in the Masterpiece series (通算100体目), and its instruction manual will also be printed in a commemorative style.
