Developed by Japanese model manufacturer Kotobukiya, the highly customizable model kit series 'HEXA GEAR' today announced the release of its latest product, 'Buyu Denryu "Gaifu Kaisei"', scheduled for August 2024.
Buyu Denryu 'Gaifu Kaisei' is a modified version of the V-THOR. Its name originates from its users: the mercenary unit "Gaifu Kaisei" from the Far Eastern Arc Archipelago. Their history of constant wandering and conflict has forged a unique combat doctrine, which perfectly suits the "Oblivion Corridor" system installed in V-THOR, capable of integrating the machine and its pilot. Although the heavy armor on the upper body shifts the center of gravity, they can still fully master it and utilize the enlarged glide wheels to maximize the machine's mobility, freely dancing across the battlefield, evading attacks while delivering fatal blows to enemies with close-combat weapons.
"HEXA GEAR Buyu Denryu 'Gaifu Kaisei'" is based on the previously released V-THOR, utilizing numerous new armor and weapon parts to recreate the distinctive features of Gaifu Kaisei. The head can be transformed into 6 different styles, including the "Oni Mask" deployment, by swapping parts. The finger and shoulder structures are made with new parts to enhance pose retention. The waist features a pair of hidden arms that can extend to grasp small parts. For weaponry, it comes with two "Firing Type Super Large Tactical Swords." By removing the large spike-shaped reservoirs on the blades, separately sold small LED lights can be inserted to illuminate the transparent blade parts.
