Chinese statue manufacturer LIMIT Studio recently partnered with Hong Kong brand Penguin Toys to obtain official authorization and release a work based on the popular anime "One Piece" – the "Portgas D. Ace" 1/6 scale collectible statue. Limited to 300 units overseas, it is expected to ship in Q3 2024!
In the story, Ace pursued Blackbeard, who had killed Fourth Division Commander Thatch, all the way to Banaro Island, disregarding his father Whitebeard's objections. There, he engaged in a fierce conflict with Blackbeard, marking the first time fans witnessed a top-tier showdown between two powerful pirates. The Battle of Banaro Island concluded with Ace's defeat and capture, leading to his imprisonment in Impel Down, which subsequently ignited the Summit War.
This "Portgas D. Ace" 1/6 scale collectible statue stands approximately 80 cm tall, depicting Ace in the pose of unleashing his ultimate technique – Great Flame Commandment "Flame Emperor" – during battle. The sculpting meticulously recreates various details on Ace's body, with muscle lines so prominent they appear ready to burst, and the patterns on his pants are also finely reproduced. The biggest highlight of this piece is the massive flame effect base, which, through a combination of transparent materials and paintwork, showcases Ace activating his abilities. The flames extend from his hands to a colossal fireball above, complemented by dynamic LED lighting effects, recreating Ace's appearance as he delivers his final, all-out strike!
