The long-rumored space-themed product from the Danish LEGO toy company's "Icons" series, "10341 Artemis Space Launch System," was finally officially unveiled today (25th)! It is scheduled to go on sale on May 18, 2024, with a suggested retail price of US$259.99, and a price of NT$7,999 at authorized LEGO stores in Taiwan.
Updated on April 25, 2024:
This set comprises a total of 3601 pieces, designed based on the uncrewed Artemis 1 heavy-lift launch vehicle, which was launched in 2022 as part of the Artemis program. It features a spectacular launchpad. While LEGO has released numerous space-themed sets and created various exquisite rocket models and rocket & launchpad combinations, this Artemis Space Launch System truly boasts an extraordinary presence! Once assembled, it stands at an impressive 70 cm tall, making a significant statement! The rocket itself is a multi-stage rocket with two solid-fuel boosters. In addition to faithfully reproducing the colors and design, the NASA lettering has been meticulously restored, and it also includes the Orion spacecraft with foldable solar panels.
The launchpad section also meticulously recreates the umbilical tower, rocket support structures, crew access arm, and more, appearing truly exquisite. Coupled with the surrounding railings and the nameplate that was completely unnoticed during its initial reveal, this Artemis Space Launch System offers an even stronger thematic presence when displayed!
