PLEX Co., Ltd. of Japan's "JUMBO SOFT VINYL FIGURE" series is releasing its latest product, the "Jumbo Soft Vinyl Figure SD MSN-00100 Hyaku-Shiki -SD Gundam-," themed after "Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam." The suggested retail price is 16,500 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in July 2024!
The MSN-00100 mobile suit "Hyaku-Shiki," which first appeared in "Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam," was originally a prototype transformable MS designed as a candidate for the Zeta Gundam in the "Z Project." However, significant flaws were discovered in its transformation mechanism during development, leading to a redesign. It subsequently became one of the top-performing non-transformable MS of its time. Its most prominent feature is its dazzling golden "anti-beam coating" plating, which not only defends against beam weapons but also grants the Hyaku-Shiki heat resistance for atmospheric re-entry.
The "Jumbo Soft Vinyl Figure SD MSN-00100 Hyaku-Shiki -SD Gundam-" boasts a substantial size of approximately 24 cm in height, with its low-proportion SD design being both cute and cool. Crafted from PVC soft vinyl for a weighty feel, the color is... yellow, not even quite "poop gold." Designed using 3D digital modeling, it faithfully reproduces armor details while ensuring rotatable articulation in the neck, shoulders, hands, and waist. The backpack thrusters are also freely detachable. It includes armaments such as a beam rifle and beam saber. Additionally, an acrylic stand printed with the unit's name is included for display.
