Following the robot plastic model kit "HG (High Grade)" series launched by BANDAI SPIRITS HOBBY Division in Japan, which previously released "AM Striker", today they have once again announced the latest product from "Super Robot Wars OG", the "Huckebein Boxer", scheduled for release in July 2024.
The original unit appearing in the "Super Robot Wars OG" series, the Huckebein Mk-III, is a successor unit developed from the Huckebein Mk-II. It was developed with the concept of a "miniaturized, high-performance SRX," and in addition to being equipped with the "T-LINK System" and "Uranus System" (the same type as R-1), it also features the same "Tronium Engine" as the SRX, allowing the pilot to unleash abilities surpassing the SRX through their powerful psychokinesis. As for its armaments, it not only inherits the Huckebein series' Photon Rifle and Graviton Rifle, but can also be reconfigured via the "AM Enhanced Armor Module" into the "Huckebein Boxer" (enhanced for close combat) or the "Huckebein Gunner" (enhanced for flight and shooting).
The "HG Huckebein Boxer" kit includes the previously released Huckebein Mk-III main unit and a newly produced "Boxer AM Enhanced Armor Module". By combining the two, the imposing "Huckebein Boxer" with a total height of approximately 23 cm can be recreated. The Boxer-type enhanced armor, composed of three parts (body, arms, and legs), can link with the Huckebein Mk-III main unit, allowing for dynamic combat poses through its various joint designs and fully articulated finger parts.
By swapping parts, the open/closed states of the three thrusters on the back can be recreated. The hand parts can also be replaced with fist parts that emit a blue-green glow when performing the "Soul Buster Punch" attack. When separated from the Huckebein, the Boxer-type enhanced armor can transform into "Slasher Mode". Using a display stand, the Huckebein can ride it to recreate the powerful scene of its special move, "Graviton Sword Slash". Furthermore, the Boxer-type enhanced armor can be linked with the separately sold Gunner-type enhanced armor to recreate the "Full Power Cannon" special move, where EX Huckebein fires all four cannons simultaneously, as seen in the anime "Super Robot Wars OG -The Inspector-".
