Japanese figure manufacturer Good Smile Company recently announced the latest product from the 'Hatsune Miku GT Project', the 'Racing Miku 2023 15th Anniversary Ver. 1/6 Scale Figure', slated for release in May 2025.
'Racing Miku' serves as the ambassador for the Japanese racing team GOODSMILE RACING (GSR). Since the launch of the 'Hatsune Miku GT Project' in 2008, a different illustrator has been commissioned each year to design her with unique outfits and appearances. This new image is then painted onto the race car for that season, drawing considerable attention. In 2023, the design was handled by illustrator Toridamono, renowned for character designs in the "Atelier Ryza" series. Toridamono incorporated elements such as cute fangs and plump thighs into Hatsune Miku's new image, giving her a vibrant yet somewhat alluring impression.
This product transforms Toridamono's 'Hatsune Miku GT Project' 15th Anniversary illustration into a character figure approximately 26 cm tall, recreating Racing Miku embracing a golden trophy and sitting on a celebratory cake. The sculpting faithfully reproduces Toridamono's cheerful and adorable fanged smile, as well as the costume design that highlights her voluptuous figure. Her dynamic twin-tail hairstyle is crafted with clear parts to achieve a translucent effect and gradient colors, while text on her long boots, arm covers, and other areas is perfectly reproduced through printing.
In addition to the two adorable cheering squad chicks on either side, the magnificent celebratory cake is another major highlight. The entire cake, shaped like the number '15', is surrounded by colorful macarons. The plump, large strawberries on the front are rendered with glossy paint to achieve a vibrant, mouth-watering sheen, and the back features meticulously sculpted layers of whipped cream. With the added presence of her thighs, it looks even more delectable.
