Max Factory, a Japanese model manufacturer, has announced the latest product in its popular articulated figure series 'figma', the "figma Nakayama Kinni-kun" based on the Japanese comedian. The suggested retail price is 13,200 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in January 2025.
Nakayama Kinni-kun (real name Shoji Nakayama) is a comedian affiliated with Yoshimoto Shinkigeki. He possesses a perfectly sculpted physique and is not only active in comedy but also highly popular in sports programs, having participated multiple times in "Sasuke" (Ninja Warrior). He gained immense popularity after portraying the monster "Fukkin Hōkai Tarō" (Abdominal Muscle Collapse Tarō) in the tokusatsu series "Kamen Rider Zero-One". He previously studied abroad in the United States to further his bodybuilding, winning the Muscle Beach International Classic in the over-40 category, demonstrating both comedic talent and genuine strength.
The "figma Nakayama Kinni-kun" stands approximately 16 cm tall. Utilizing figma's original joint parts, it achieves both Nakayama Kinni-kun's exaggerated muscular proportions and an excellent range of articulation, allowing for perfect muscle-flexing poses! The shape of each muscle and the bulging veins are realistically recreated in meticulous detail. The facial expressions are also realistically sculpted to capture Nakayama Kinni-kun's facial contours and essence. It comes with three interchangeable face plates: a "Power! face", a "smiling face", and a "serious face". Additionally, robust biceps parts (left/right) are included for replacement.
