Megami Device "PUNI☆MOFU Usagi" - An Ultra-Cute Rabbit Girl Appears, Built with a Low-Height Body!

KOTOBUKIYA, a Japanese model manufacturer, recently announced that the latest product in their popular assembly model series "Megami Device," which combines colorful mechanical equipment with highly articulated bishoujo bodies, the "PUNI☆MOFU Usagi," is scheduled for release in November 2024.

Designed by Japanese illustrator BLADE, "PUNI☆MOFU Usagi" is the second Megami Device unit to utilize the "Machineca Block2-S" articulated body, following "PUNI☆MOFU Neko." Compared to the Machineca Block2-M body used by the "BUSTER DOLL" series units, it features an incredibly cute, low-height physique while possessing equivalent articulation mechanisms. The overall design style is consistent with its sister unit, "Neko," incorporating numerous rabbit elements into its armor design. Its main weapon, the "Super Usagi Sword," can not only be used as dual swords but also equipped on the backpack or both palms for gliding capabilities, or attached to a long pole to switch into "Flap Lance" mode. Though seemingly delicate and harmless, it is a highly threatening Megami specialized for ultra-close combat.

The "Megami Device PUNI☆MOFU Usagi" recreates BLADE's design based on the low-height Block2-S body, incorporating numerous new parts. The kit consists of multi-color molded parts, water-slide decals, and more. Once assembled, the Usagi stands approximately 15 cm tall, boasting a petite and adorable yet precisely articulated body. It comes with three pre-painted face parts drawn by BLADE for interchangeability, allowing for a variety of lively and cute poses in body mode.

After attaching the head unit, outer armor, and weapons, all designed with rabbit elements, it can switch to armed mode. The included decals can be used to reproduce leg markings and colors not achievable with the molded plastic. The "Super Usagi Sword," resembling a carrot, can also recreate its conceptual dual sword, wing, and lance modes by reassembling its parts. While its weapon expandability doesn't feature as many exposed 3mm ports as the "BUSTER DOLL" series, this design choice allows for more complete weapon shapes and structures, perfectly capturing the adorable charm from BLADE's original artwork.
