Kaiyodo, the Japanese model manufacturer, has announced today that its popular action figure series 'AMAZING YAMAGUCHI' will be releasing its latest product, "Ryu Hayabusa," from the classic ultra-high-speed ninja action game "Ninja Gaiden." Full product details will be revealed soon.
The solitary Super Ninja, "Ryu Hayabusa," first appeared in the 1988 Famicom game "Ninja Gaiden," developed by Tecmo (Japan). He subsequently became active in other Koei Tecmo titles such as the "Ninja Gaiden" series, "Dead or Alive," and the "Dynasty Warriors" series. In his lore, Ryu Hayabusa is a modern Super Ninja who inherits the ancient Hayabusa-ryu ninjutsu. As the last descendant of the Dragon Clan, he bears the destiny of fighting evil and is skilled in powerful ninja arts, including his signature fatal throwing technique, "Izuna Drop."
The "AMAZING YAMAGUCHI Ryu Hayabusa" figure is based on his appearance in "Ninja Gaiden 2," with renowned Kaiyodo sculptor Katsuhisa Yamaguchi handling the prototype production. It faithfully recreates his muscular physique, the modern, high-tech black ninja suit, metallic armor, and his iconic weapon, the "Dragon Sword." The figure also features the highly articulated Revoltech joint system, promising a wide range of dynamic and cool combat poses from the game.
