Kotobukiya, a Japanese toy company, under its "ARTFX J" series, which creates exquisite three-dimensional figures of Japanese anime and game characters, has announced the latest "ARTFX J Kikoru Shinomiya" 1/8 scale figure, following "Kafka Hibino," based on the popular anime series "Kaiju No. 8"! The suggested retail price is 15,730 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in February 2025.
Hailed as the greatest genius girl in history, Kikoru Shinomiya is Kafka's fellow recruit who participated in the Defense Force entrance exam with him. She is the daughter of Defense Force Commander Isao Shinomiya, having received strict education and training since childhood, and already possessed squad leader-level strength when she took the exam. She has high expectations for herself and is very confident, initially looking down on Kafka for participating in the exam at an advanced age (?), but after being saved by Kaiju No. 8 and learning Kafka's true identity, she gradually developed feelings for him.
The "ARTFX J Kikoru Shinomiya" 1/8 scale figure stands approximately 25 cm tall, faithfully recreating Shinomiya in her Defense Force battle suit! Her striking blonde twin-tails dynamically flutter, and her slender physique creates a strong contrast with the massive axe in her hands! The Defense Force battle suit is meticulously sculpted, utilizing different paint applications to create a layered sense of various composite materials. The bodysuit also features realistic wrinkles that follow her body's movements, and equipment such as the pistol holstered on her thigh and waist are carefully reproduced. The most eye-catching Impact Wave Great Axe is also packed with intricate paint details! The destroyed road on the base evokes the intensity of her fierce battles with Kaiju! Display her alongside other figures in the series to recreate the world of the work!
▼ Purchases made at the Kotobukiya official store will receive an exclusive bonus interchangeable head sculpt featuring a closed-eye smiling face.
