SUN-STAR Stationery Co., Ltd. (サンスター文具株式会社), a subsidiary of the Japanese Bandai Namco Group, will release the "Gigan (2004) Metal Paperweight" based on "Godzilla: Final Wars". The suggested retail price is 9,900 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in October 2024!
Gigan, who appeared in "Godzilla: Final Wars", is a cyborg monster dispatched by the Xiliens 12,000 years ago during their invasion of Earth. After defeating Mothra at the time and destroying ancient civilizations, it fell into a mummified slumber off the coast of Hokkaido. It was later recovered and stored by the Earth Defense Force, only to awaken when the Xiliens invaded again. Compared to its past iterations, it possesses stronger combat capabilities, with its original hooks replaced by more refined steel claws. It can also fire chains to restrict enemy movement, and its red eyes emit a "Diffusion Beam". It is also a popular monster in the Godzilla series.
