Renowned poster design and toy company MONDO has announced the release of two new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles-themed products—the "Leonardo" and "Donatello" soft vinyl figures. Each figure will have a suggested retail price of US$90 and will be available for pre-order on the official MONDO Shop website on May 21, 2024, Central Time, with an estimated shipping date of October 2024!
According to the official website, these two products are inspired by 90s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles works. Based on the overall sculpt and white eyes, they primarily reference the classic animated series that aired from the 80s into the 90s, as well as the classic Playmates toy line. This release features "Leonardo," the leader of the turtles, and "Donatello," the team's brains. The overall color scheme references the classic Playmates toy versions, showcasing different shades of dark green on the two turtles. The shells and belts are sculpted and painted with intricate details, and various battle-damaged cracks have been meticulously added to the main body, significantly enhancing the overall texture and quality!
For accessories, both figures come with their classic weapons: Leonardo's twin katanas and Donatello's bo staff. These can be perfectly stored on the back of their shells, just like the classic toy versions. The meticulously crafted proportions also allow them to hold their weapons and strike dynamic battle poses. The large 20.3 cm scale, combined with multiple swivel joints, ensures that both turtles offer significant collectible value while maintaining a good degree of playability!
