Launched by Japan's SQUARE ENIX, the affordable pre-painted figure series "FORM-ISM", following its first product "2B", recently announced the latest products from "NieR:Automata": "9S (YoRHa No.9 Type S)" and "9S (YoRHa No.9 Type S) Goggles OFF Ver.", both scheduled for release in September 2024.
The "FORM-ISM" series is a brand new line of PVC pre-painted figures focusing on accessible pricing. Compared to typical 1/8 or 1/7 scale character figures that often exceed 10,000 JPY, "FORM-ISM" figures are priced at approximately 4,500 JPY + tax, and boast an easy-to-collect size of about 18 cm, along with a commendable level of sculpting and paint application. Similar to products from other manufacturers like POP UP PARADE, TENITOL, KDcolleLIGHT, and ConoFig, it aims to capture the affordable price segment with its own popular IP characters.
"9S (YoRHa No.9 Type S)" is simultaneously released in two versions: with goggles and without goggles. The two versions differ not only in the presence or absence of the goggle part, but also feature entirely different poses for the character, yet both are priced at 4,500 JPY + tax. The goggled version brings to life 9S in a dynamic moment, wielding his spear "Cruel Oath" and utilizing his scanning ability. The goggle-off version depicts him gently smiling while repairing 2B's lost left arm.
