Japanese brand GOOD SMILE COMPANY's affordable pre-painted figure series POP UP PARADE is releasing a new product based on the popular anime "NieR:Automata Ver1.1a" — the "9S (YoRHa No.9 Type S)" non-scale pre-painted figure. It has a suggested retail price of 5,500 JPY and is scheduled for release in November 2024!
The TV anime "NieR:Automata Ver1.1a," which began airing in 2023 and is produced by A-1 Pictures, is an adaptation of "NieR:Automata," a spin-off from the "Drakengard" series developed by PlatinumGames and published by Square Enix. One of the three main protagonists in the work, YoRHa No.9 Type S (abbreviated as 9S), is a hacking-type scanner reconnaissance android. His primary duty is to research combat missions as a hacker. He possesses a kind and curious personality, making him one of the more emotionally expressive individuals among the YoRHa androids.
This POP UP PARADE 9S non-scale pre-painted figure stands approximately 17 cm tall, faithfully recreating 9S's Gothic attire from the series. It meticulously sculpts various details on the clothing, its stiff texture, and wrinkle patterns. Furthermore, 9S's weapon, "Cruel Oath," is exquisitely reproduced, with its metallic paint finish presenting an extraordinary texture! It can be displayed alongside the "2B (YoRHa No.2 Type B)" figure, released simultaneously, to showcase the elegant atmosphere of the series!
