GOOD SMILE COMPANY's affordable figure series "POP UP PARADE" in Japan, and its enlarged spin-off series "POP UP PARADE L", will release a "Guts [Black Swordsman] L" PVC painted complete figure based on the popular work "Berserk"! The suggested retail price is 8,800 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in February 2025!
Guts, the protagonist of "Berserk", is known as the "Black Swordsman" due to his all-black armor and cape. His most distinctive feature is the massive greatsword, "Dragon Slayer," which is longer than himself. Not only is his body covered in countless scars from being forced to endure endless battles, but his extremely tragic childhood also left Guts' mind full of trauma; just when he finally found true friends and a home for the first time in the Band of the Hawk, he was betrayed by Griffith, the "White Hawk"... Guts, who miraculously survived the absolutely tragic and terrifying Eclipse, was filled with black rage and embarked on a path of revenge.
The "POP UP PARADE Guts [Black Swordsman] L" PVC painted complete figure faithfully recreates Guts' rugged physique at a large size of 22 cm. The sharp lines of his armor and the battle-worn marks from countless fights are meticulously sculpted, and Guts' own equipment is layered with rich detail. The delicate paintwork showcases the differences in various materials such as metal and leather, creating a sense of weight and heft, with the details of the "Dragon Slayer" greatsword resting on his shoulder being particularly striking! The fabric folds and wind-swept shape of the tattered cape behind him provide a contrast to the overall presentation.
