KADOKAWA's figure brand "KDcolle" has once again launched a new product based on the popular anime "Oshi no Ko" – the "Ai Hoshino, Aqua & Ruby" 1/8 scale pre-painted figure. The suggested retail price is 17,600 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in February 2025!
"Oshi no Ko" is a Japanese manga written by Aka Akasaka and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari, adapted into an anime by Doga Kobo in 2023. The story follows Goro Amemiya, an obstetrician working in a rural area, who unexpectedly becomes the attending physician for his favorite idol, Ai Hoshino. However, he is murdered before Ai gives birth and is reincarnated as one of Ai's twins. Tragically, Ai is assassinated at her home one day, and as the twins grow up, they slowly uncover the truth behind Ai's murder.
This product stands approximately 10.5 cm tall and is based on the visual illustration from the expanded first episode of the anime's first season, "Mother and Children." It brings to life the warm and peaceful daily life of the Hoshino family, meticulously depicting Ruby joyfully rushing towards Ai, while Aqua, looking somewhat detached, is held by Ai in a heartwarming scene. Even the printing on the B-Komachi photobook in Ai's hand is faithfully reproduced!
Pre-ordering from the official KADOKAWA Store website will also give you a chance to win an autograph board signed by Rie Takahashi, Ai Hoshino's voice actress!
