Japanese figure manufacturer PROOF recently announced that multiple scale figures from the classic robot anime "Gurren Lagann" are currently in development, simultaneously showcasing some in-development prototypes. Release dates are yet to be determined.
・Simon & Nia with Gurren Lagann
This time, PROOF exhibited four scale figure products that bring the main characters from "Gurren Lagann" to life. Each figure is a collaboration with TRIGGER, the animation studio originally responsible for "Gurren Lagann" and now an independent entity. They are based on new illustrations specifically drawn for these products by in-house animators Yoh Yoshinari, Hiroyuki Imaishi, Aoi Abe, and Yūsuke Yoshigaki.
・Kamina & Gurren
Main characters including Simon, Kamina, Yoko, Nia, and Viral are being sculpted in powerful poses that embody their in-series charm and evoke memorable scenes. The bases incorporate elements of the "Ganmen" (Face) robots used by each character, depicting them standing atop their respective machines. The future display of the physical prototypes is highly anticipated.
