BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division in Japan has announced the latest product from the new anime series Mashin Souseiden, the "Ryujinmaru", slated for release in December 2024.
Mashin Souseiden is a completely new series that inherits the essence and some settings of Mashin Hero Wataru, passing the legacy to the next generation. The protagonist, Wataru Hoshibe, is a fourth-grade elementary school video creator who dreams of becoming a superstar. One day, he is summoned to the alternate world of "Chubukai" to become its savior. In this cube-filled, sandbox-game-like alternate world, Wataru can use cubes to create various objects, including the Mashin "Ryujinmaru," which houses a dragon soul. They embark on a journey to defeat the final boss, "Enjoda," fighting alongside companions such as the master swordsman Mifurain and popular VTuber Maro.
The "Ryujinmaru Model Kit" features a design that requires no tools like nippers; parts can be detached from the runner by hand. The kit largely recreates the in-series appearance with its original molded colors of gold, white, blue, red, and gray. Its armaments include the Toryuken sword and a shield with a transformation mechanism, allowing for the recreation of the signature special move "Toryuken" that has appeared throughout the series!
This Mashin Souseiden series of model kits utilizes a common articulated frame structure. In addition to achieving an excellent range of motion and recreating in-series battle scenes and special moves with its 3-4 head-tall proportions, parts such as the head, body, limbs, and armor can be freely interchanged using connectors and joints of the same standard, allowing for mix-and-match customization of Mashin Souseiden series units to create your own unique Mashin.
