The world-renowned collectible toy brand Hot Toys' new sub-brand, HONŌ STUDIO, which gathers many excellent designers globally, is launching its fourth Marvel Comics-themed character—the "Iron Man" 1/6 scale collectible action figure. The suggested retail price is US$215, with an estimated release between October 2024 and Q1-Q2 2025!
Iron Man first appeared in issue #39 of the comic book "Tales of Suspense" in 1963, co-created by Stan Lee, Larry Lieber, Don Heck, and Jack Kirby. In 2008, he became the first comic book character adapted into a live-action film by Marvel Studios, kicking off the legendary Marvel Cinematic Universe.
This HONŌ STUDIO Iron Man stands approximately 32 cm tall, crafted in Iron Man's classic comic book appearance. It features a newly designed body that recreates the image of the suit tightly encasing a muscular physique, with seamless rubberized arm technology to hide the joints, reproducing the less mechanical visual effect seen in the comics. The armor is painted with metallic paint to replicate its gleaming golden look!
The Arc Reactor on the chest and the repulsors in the palms can activate LED light-up functions via magnets, and interchangeable hand parts allow for dynamic attack poses! Additionally, accessories include another classic comic book-style long-horned head sculpt from Model 2 Mark I, allowing for the display of Iron Man in different era designs! The base also comes with a display stand for comic books, so if collectors have Iron Man comics, they can display them together, creating the feeling that Iron Man has stepped right out of the comic!
