MEGAHOUSE (メガハウス), a Japanese toy company, yesterday (3rd) announced the latest product from its "Ultimate Article" collectible series, which features impressive size and light-up mechanisms: the "Ultraman" (ウルトラマン) PVC pre-painted figure, based on the animated film "ULTRAMAN: RISING"! It is scheduled for release in March 2025, with a suggested retail price of 25,850 JPY (tax included).
"ULTRAMAN: RISING" is an animated film co-produced by Industrial Light & Magic and Tsuburaya Productions, and distributed by Netflix. The story follows baseball superstar Ken Sato, who is Ultraman in this film. After defeating Gigantron (ジャイガントロン), he unexpectedly takes on the task of "raising a kaiju baby." This adorable little monster, Emi (エミ), brings a completely different and difficult challenge to this new Ultraman. Ken, whose mission is to protect Earth and defeat monsters, now finds himself contemplating the meaning of being Ultraman while raising a kaiju.
The "Ultimate Article Ultraman (ULTRAMAN: RISING)" stands at a height of 30 cm. The entire figure was jointly supervised by Tsuburaya Productions' LSS modeling department, faithfully recreating the exaggerated body lines and impressive slender lower body of this American-version Ultraman. Iconic features such as the head, the muscular contours of the body, and the elongated feet are all meticulously reproduced. Furthermore, it features light-up mechanisms in the eyes and the color timer on the chest, which, when illuminated, create a truly imposing presence. The switch is located on the base. Toy enthusiasts skilled in painting and customization might also consider enhancing the included buildings with color to create an even more immersive diorama.
▼ The silver-based nameplate comes in two styles, with red or black lettering, which can be freely combined.
