HONŌ STUDIO, a new brand bringing together designers and elite production teams from around the globe, after releasing MARVEL Comics' "Wolverine" and several other characters, yesterday (8th) unveiled its new "Wolverine (Unmasked)" 1/6 scale articulated figure! (tentative translation) Expected to ship in Q2 2025, with a suggested retail price of HKD 1,080.
Unexpectedly, after releasing Wolverine and Wolverine (Brown Suit Version), HONŌ STUDIO has returned to release a piece featuring the classic yellow and blue tiger-stripe suit. Specifications include a height of 28.5 cm and 28 points of articulation. In line with Logan's robust and muscular character design, the arms are crafted with seamless silicone to fully restore Wolverine's muscle lines. The main difference between this figure and the initial Wolverine release is essentially the head sculpt.
This unmasked head sculpt of Logan not only vividly captures his furrowed brow expression, but the hairstyle also fully conveys his wild character traits. Coupled with the meticulously applied blue highlights, it exudes a strong comic book style. Additionally, the mask part in its removed state can be seen. Accessories include a pair of interchangeable hands with retracted claws and a specially designed comic-themed display base. It's surprising that they would re-release it with just a different head sculpt; it makes one curious about future character strategies~
