GOOD SMILE COMPANY's affordable pre-painted figure series, POP UP PARADE, is releasing a new product based on the popular anime "The Elusive Samurai" — the "Hojo Tokiyuki" non-scale pre-painted complete figure, with a suggested retail price of 5,500 JPY, scheduled for release in May 2025!
"The Elusive Samurai" (Nige Jouzu no Wakagimi) is a historical manga serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump since 2021 by Yusei Matsui, author of the bestselling "Assassination Classroom," and adapted into a TV anime by CloverWorks in 2024. The story recounts how in 1333, the Hojo clan's main line (Tokuso Hojo) was annihilated by the rebellious Ashikaga Takauji, and Kamakura fell. Hojo Tokiyuki, the Hojo clan's heir who was always skilled at escaping, fled in disguise with the help of the Shinto priest Suwa Yorishige, and prepares for an uprising while in hiding.
This POP UP PARADE Hojo Tokiyuki stands approximately 17 cm tall. It captures Tokiyuki's dynamic pose as he leaps backward while fleeing, preparing to draw his sword. The sculpting faithfully reproduces the Shinto priest attire and the flowing wrinkles created by his dynamic movement.
