Japan's TAITO Corporation (株式会社タイトー) has officially unveiled the first product in its brand-new figure series "DRESSTA": a pre-painted figure of "Tsuyu Asui" from the popular anime "My Hero Academia"! The suggested retail price is 5,500 JPY, and it is produced entirely on a made-to-order basis. Pre-orders are currently open exclusively on TAITO's official online store, with an anticipated release in March 2025!
Tsuyu Asui, from Class 1-A at U.A. High School, is known by her hero name "Froppy," the Rainy Season Hero. Her Quirk is "Frog," allowing her to do almost anything a frog can! Tsuyu has a calm and composed personality, maintaining her cool in many unexpected situations, and has made significant contributions in arcs such as the USJ Incident, training camps, and the Shie Hassaikai arc!
The new "DRESSTA" (ドレスタ) series combines the words "Dress Up" and "Stage," focusing on presenting various characters in a more captivating way by emphasizing the intricate sculpting of the figure itself combined with a distinctive base! For this inaugural release in the series, the official product images show Tsuyu-chan in her appearance during the battle against the villains who invaded U.A. High at the "Unforeseen Simulation Joint" (USJ). The figure depicts Tsuyu-chan clinging to a broken stone wall submerged in water, meticulously recreating her unique body proportions and costume details after donning her hero suit. Details such as pipes, cracks, and shattered glass on the broken wall are also exquisitely reproduced. The splashing water on the base, combined with the flowing curves of her translucent hair tips, further enhances the overall visual dynamism!
