SMP 'Chodenji Machine Voltes V V TOGETHER Set SP Edition' New V-Shape Effect Recreates Dynamic Combination Scene!

To commemorate the Japanese release of the re-edited movie version of the Philippine live-action TV series 'Voltes V: Legacy', BANDAI CANDY, the Shokugan division of Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd., has officially announced today that its popular assembly model Shokugan series 'SHOKUGAN MODELING PROJECT' will release the commemorative product 'Chodenji Machine Voltes V V TOGETHER Set SP Edition' in March 2025.

'Chodenji Machine Voltes V' is one of the robot romance trilogy directed by anime director Tadao Nagahama. In the story, to prevent the Boazanian Empire's invasion of Earth, Dr. Kentaro Go assembled a team to develop the super robot 'Voltes V' to counter the giant battle machines 'Beast Fighters' sent by the Empire. He also gathered five justice-minded youths to join the defense force for a year of rigorous training, allowing them to pilot the Voltes Cruiser, Voltes Bomber, Voltes Panzer, Voltes Frigate, and Voltes Lander, respectively. When the five machines form a V-formation and shout 'LET’S VOLT IN!', they can combine into the giant force 'Voltes V' to save Earth.

The 'Chodenji Machine Voltes V V TOGETHER Set SP Edition' is a modified version of the standard edition released last year. The kit similarly pays homage to the color scheme of the 1977 toy product 'THE Chogokin GT-10 Voltes V', using metallic blue with a metallic powder texture, silver with a ripple texture, and other molded colors to represent each machine's hues. It also includes a 'Special LOGO Sticker' to recreate the pattern on the abdomen of the original toy.

For weaponry, it also includes the sixth machine, 'Mechanical Eagle,' which attaches to the back, and the sixth Voltes team member, 'Little Octopus.' It also comes with a rich array of weapon accessories to recreate Voltes V's various attacks such as 'Voltes Bazooka,' 'Gatling Missile,' 'Chodenji Goma (Super Electromagnetic Top),' 'Heavy Tank Mode,' and 'Tenkuken (Heavenly Sword).' This version further adds a large, 22 cm tall, clear pink molded 'V-shaped display base,' which can be used to recreate the 'V-formation' of the machines preparing to combine, as well as the dynamic appearance after combination is complete.
