"Figuarts ZERO Son Goku & Bulma" - The Dream Commercialization of the Weekly Shonen Jump Cover Illustration from the First Chapter's Serialization!

The "Figuarts ZERO" character figure series, released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., announced its latest product based on "Dragon Ball" at the "TAMASHII NATION 2024" event held from November 15-17, 2024, at Bellesalle Akihabara: the commercialization of "Figuarts ZERO Son Goku & Bulma"! The suggested retail price is 16,500 JPY, with an estimated release in May 2025!

The "Figuarts ZERO Son Goku & Bulma" pre-painted finished product celebrates the 40th anniversary of the "Dragon Ball" manga by bringing to life the cover illustration from the 51st issue of "Weekly Shonen Jump," where it was first serialized in 1984! Standing approximately 170 mm tall, it is almost identical in size to the Jump cover illustration. The manga-style coloring is thoroughly reproduced, completely recreating young Goku's innocent expression and his pose riding the Flying Nimbus; his rarely disheveled bangs and the special effect parts trailing from the Nimbus's tail emphasize the sense of forward flight. The circular background from the illustration is also designed as a base, creating a visual effect of foreground and background! Bulma, riding her motorcycle, is also meticulously recreated, with the motorcycle's headlights, fairing, and exhaust effects all reproduced using clear parts. The intricate mechanical structure is also realistically depicted, resulting in an extremely high overall fidelity and enhancing the rich, dynamic details!
