Japanese figure manufacturer GOOD SMILE COMPANY presents a new product based on Capcom's popular fighting game series "Street Fighter" – the "Chun-Li ~Standby~" 1/6 scale pre-painted figure. It has a suggested retail price of 29,800 JPY and is scheduled for release in October 2025!
Chun-Li (チュン・リー) first appeared in "Street Fighter II" and was the first playable female character in the Street Fighter game series. To investigate the disappearance of her special police officer father, Chun-Li joined Interpol to pursue the evil organization "Shadaloo" and conducted investigations by participating in various martial arts tournaments. In "Street Fighter 6," after successfully dismantling Shadaloo, Chun-Li opened a kung fu school and lives harmoniously with the town residents.
This "Chun-Li ~Standby~" figure brings to life the cover illustration for a medicine notebook drawn by popular illustrator Akiman in 2022 for Momochihama Pharmacy (ももち浜調剤薬局) in Japan. It features Chun-Li in her classic blue qipao and double-bun hairstyle from "Street Fighter II," faithfully recreating the strong sense of dynamism in the qipao and hair ribbons from the illustration. Her iconic muscular thighs and Akiman's alluring facial features are also exquisitely sculpted and reproduced. The combination of pearlescent and metallic paint on the qipao creates a texture that suggests different materials, while the airbrushed shadows enhance the overall three-dimensional appearance, perfectly capturing the delicate and captivating charm of the original illustration!
