Japanese brand GOOD SMILE COMPANY's affordable pre-painted PVC figure series, POP UP PARADE L Size, will release a new product based on the popular anime "Blue Box"—the "Chinatsu Kano L size" non-scale pre-painted figure. The suggested retail price is 8,800 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in June 2025!
"Blue Box" is a manga series by Kōji Miura, serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" starting in 2021. In 2024, Telecom Animation Film adapted it into a TV anime. It tells the story of Taiki Inomata, a male protagonist attending the prestigious sports school Eimei Academy Middle School, who has a long-standing crush on Chinatsu Kano, a basketball club senior. Due to family circumstances, Chinatsu moves in with Taiki, leading to a story that intertwines dreams and romance! The editor wants to particularly emphasize that the lighting and shadow presentation in the TV anime version is quite stunning, giving viewers an immersive feeling of falling in love alongside the characters!
This "POP UP PARADE Chinatsu Kano L size" stands approximately 21 cm tall and is based on an illustration by Kōji Miura-sensei. It brings to life Chinatsu-senpai wearing her Eimei Academy basketball team tracksuit jacket and making a "box" hand gesture. The figure faithfully recreates her slender physique as a basketball player, with sculpted wrinkles and detailed styling on her jersey, shorts, jacket, and white basketball shoes. Her flowing hair and sweet smile exude an overwhelming sense of first love—Chinatsu-senpai shines too brightly!
