From Hong Kong's emerging sculpting brand GALAXIAS, the "Marvel Desktop Supers" series, which produces exquisite Marvel-themed character figures, in addition to the "Iron Man (Classic Edition)," has also simultaneously unveiled another color variant of the product—the "Iron Man (Stealth Edition)" 1/8 scale character figure. The reference price is also USD 134, with an estimated release in Q1 2025!
Iron Man's stealth armor first appeared in The Invincible Iron Man #152, published in August 1981. It was Tony's seventh Iron Man suit, developed to evade weapon detection, based on his experience of being detected while approaching the Roxxon space station. The first version, due to its focus on stealth capabilities, had only partial armament and almost no defensive capabilities. Its capabilities were gradually improved and balanced in subsequent iterations.
The Marvel Desktop Supers Iron Man (Stealth Edition), also released simultaneously, stands at approximately 29.5 cm and utilizes the same sculpt as the Classic Edition. The classic comic-style rounded Iron Man armor is now adorned with the iconic teal-blue stealth armor paint scheme. The pearlescent finish combined with a glossy paint application makes the blue armor shimmer with a luster reminiscent of reflected starlight. The substantial thrust flames and smoke effects supporting the main body have also been changed to the stealth armor's signature red flames. The understated and sophisticated color palette makes him appear to be quietly taking flight in the dark of night, offering a completely different visual experience from the Classic Edition!
