APEX-TOYS, the toy brand of Shanghai Paishi Cultural Technology Development Co., Ltd., is releasing its latest product, the "Formidable Illustration Ver." 1/7 scale figure, based on the popular game "Azur Lane." It is scheduled for release in February 2026.
Formidable, belonging to the Royal Navy, is based on the Illustrious-class aircraft carrier HMS Formidable (67/R67). In the game's lore, she is the younger sister of Illustrious and Victorious. While she appears to be an elegant Royal lady on the outside, she possesses a contrasting wild personality on the inside, disliking etiquette and having rock star posters plastered in her room. Due to the shipyard miscalculating Formidable's weight, the supports collapsed during her launch, causing her to launch herself. Because of this, she is often teased about her tonnage and even earned the nickname "Fat Dinosaur."
The "APEX-TOYS Azur Lane Formidable Illustration Ver." 1/7 scale figure measures approximately 22 cm in height, faithfully recreating Formidable's seductive cheongsam outfit from the New Year's illustration. The traditional Chinese attire, with its minimal fabric, combines transparent materials and gradient painting to create a subtly translucent texture, accentuating her ample bosom and voluptuous thighs, along with large areas of her fair skin! The fur shawl on her shoulders is made with real flocked fur, making the overall design richer and fuller. With a faint blush on her cheeks and an outstretched hand, she invites Commanders to join the New Year's feast~
...Hmm? I've decided not to hide myself in front of the Commander anymore.
Bremerton from the same series will appear later!
