Japanese brand GOOD SMILE COMPANY's affordable pre-painted PVC figure series, POP UP PARADE L Size, will not only release "Yui Hirasawa" but also simultaneously launch a new product based on the popular classic work "K-ON!" — the "Mio Akiyama L size" non-scale pre-painted figure. The suggested retail price is 8,800 JPY, with an estimated release in August 2025!
Houbunsha's representative work, "K-ON!" (けいおん! K-ON!), is a four-panel manga series by Japanese manga artist kakifly, which was adapted into a TV anime by Kyoto Animation in 2009. Mio Akiyama is the bassist and vocalist of "After-school Tea Time." Her cool yet sweet style has attracted a large number of fans, making her the only member of the Light Music Club with a fan club.
This POP UP PARADE Mio Akiyama L size figure stands approximately 22 cm tall, depicting Mio in a standing pose holding a strawberry cake. The sculpting faithfully recreates the uniform's wrinkle details and her fair, slender leg lines. Her flowing black hair adds a significant sense of dynamism to the overall presentation. The afternoon tea theme allows for display alongside the simultaneously released Yui, and there's considerable anticipation for future releases of other Light Music Club members!
