Japanese gashapon toy manufacturer TOYS CABIN is set to release a highly interesting product—the "Liquid Cat" gashapon, with a reference price of 400 JPY per capsule, scheduled for release in March 2025!
Many toy enthusiasts have surely seen amusing videos of cats contorting their flexible bodies into various containers. Comments like "cats are made of water" frequently appear in the comment sections of such videos! In 2017, physicist Marc-Antoine Fardin, inspired by discussions on the Bored Panda forum, rigorously proved the fluid characteristics of cats based on the property of liquids having "a fixed volume but changing shape with the container," winning that year's Ig Nobel Prize!
This "Liquid Cat" series renders in 3D the postures of different cats curled up inside various containers. It includes four types: a gray cat and an orange tabby cat in square containers, and a white cat and a tuxedo cat (賓士貓) in round containers. The strangely contorted poses filling the containers, contrasted with their seemingly comfortable expressions, are incredibly cute. At approximately 3.3 cm in size, it perfectly recreates the "cat physics" that amazes viewers every time!
