Chinese model manufacturer Chiyu and renowned illustrator "Huayecai" (@huayecai820) have once again collaborated to launch a new Huayecai illustration-themed product. In addition to "Wind Rising", they have also unveiled another new item – the "Pillow illustration by Huayecai" non-scale pre-painted complete figure. The suggested retail price is 4,950 JPY, with an estimated release in August 2025!
Huayecai, the official illustrator for the game "Identity V", created a transparent uniform girl in 2021, which immediately sparked widespread discussion. The visual effect, where "nothing is there yet everything is there," is incredibly imaginative, and the exquisite rendering of fabric wrinkles is astonishing. Subsequently, she has created many powerful works using the same concept, cleverly evading platform censorship!
This fourth collaboration between Chiyu and Huayecai brings to life an illustration Huayecai posted on Twitter in 2023. The figure stands approximately 8 cm tall, depicting an invisible girl in a hoodie lying on a pillow. The delicate sculpting meticulously recreates the wrinkles and details on the clothing and pillow. Although the hoodie's drawstring might have been omitted for production purposes, one can still almost feel the warmth and presence beneath the soft fabric. The greater amount of "negative space" compared to previous installments also offers collectors even more room for imagination!
