Handcrafted items that blend anime and art have consistently captivated fans and sparked major trends. Now, a French creator, Artisan Béton Neotek, is turning heads with their stunning concrete sculptures, especially among Pokémon fans.
The studio recently dropped a "Geodude" themed concrete sculpture planter on their social media, and it immediately ignited a frenzy of discussion, with fans clamoring to know how to get their hands on one. However, due to the intricate craftsmanship involved, this particular piece isn't available for order just yet.
As seen in the images, this Geodude planter is meticulously hand-carved from concrete, capturing its iconic punching pose and a remarkably lifelike expression. The overall design stays true to Geodude's original Pokémon look, but with a clever twist: its head is hollowed out to serve as a planter, housing a variety of succulents that add a vibrant touch of green to the otherwise stony aesthetic.
According to the creator, this impressive piece stands at 12 inches (30.48 cm) tall, measures 25 inches (63.50 cm) wide, and has a depth of 17 inches (43.18 cm), priced at $785 USD. Since each sculpture is handmade, slight variations in size and plant arrangement are to be expected, making each one a unique, non-mass-produced collectible.
Artisan Béton Neotek has a history of crafting other fantastic Pokémon-inspired works, including Togepi, Gengar, and Lapras. Each creation masterfully combines hand-carving with floral design, allowing these beloved characters to find a new life as stylish home decor.
The moment the Geodude sculpture was unveiled, fans flooded the comments, exclaiming, "This planter is so creative, I absolutely need it!" and "Geodude and succulents are a perfect match, like a spirit straight from nature!" Still, some fans expressed disappointment over the limited availability and current inability to order, holding out hope that they might snag this ingenious art piece in the future.
As the fusion of anime culture and artistic creation continues to gain momentum, handcrafted sculptures like those from Artisan Béton Neotek undoubtedly offer fans unique and sought-after collector's items. Fans will surely be keeping a close eye on the studio to see if they'll release more classic character planter sculptures down the line.
