California-based collectible toy brand The Loyal Subjects has announced on its official social media accounts that it will be launching M.A.S.K.-themed products, a revelation that immediately sparked heated discussions among international fans!
M.A.S.K. (Mobile Armored Strike Kommand) was an animated television series co-produced by the US and Japan from 1985 to 1986. Taiwan's TTV introduced it in July 1987 under the translated title "神龍特攻隊" (Divine Dragon Special Forces). The series tells the story of millionaire Matt Trakker, who establishes the "M.A.S.K." team to fight crime globally, battling against his archenemy Miles Mayhem and his organization, V.E.N.O.M. (Very Evil Network Of Mayhem).
In the 1980s, the M.A.S.K. toy line, designed by Kenner Toys, featured cool transforming vehicles and articulated action figures, a play pattern that remains highly popular in the secondary market even today! To celebrate M.A.S.K.'s 40th anniversary, The Loyal Subjects will be re-releasing several popular 80s products with new specifications! From the currently revealed silhouettes, classic vehicles such as M.A.S.K.'s Thunderhawk, Rhino, Condor, and V.E.N.O.M.'s Switchblade are all set to return. Detailed information will be unveiled at an official special event this Friday, kicking off the upcoming Toy Fair New York, which runs from March 1st to 4th. This is incredibly exciting!
