Japanese toy company Megahouse has announced a new product based on the popular anime "SAKAMOTO DAYS" – the "Taro Sakamoto" pre-painted figure. It has a suggested retail price of 23,100 JPY and is scheduled for release in November 2025!
"SAKAMOTO DAYS" is a work by manga artist Yuto Suzuki, which began serialization in "Weekly Shonen Jump" in 2020. In January 2025, it was adapted into a TV anime by TMS Entertainment. The story follows Taro Sakamoto, once the strongest assassin, who, after retiring, getting married, having children, and becoming an overweight middle-aged man, is targeted by his former assassin organization. He then teams up with his junior, Shin, who came to persuade him, to fight against the organization.
This Taro Sakamoto pre-painted figure stands approximately 20 cm tall. It captures Sakamoto-san's suddenly slimmed-down appearance after being intensely attacked by Boiled at the end of the anime's fourth episode. The figure is sculpted in a crouching battle pose, faithfully recreating his lean muscle lines after losing weight. The details of his oversized yellow T-shirt and jeans are exquisitely rendered, and his iconic slippers are, of course, included!
The base features scattered architectural debris, spray-painted to replicate the texture of rebar and gravel. This, combined with the highly dynamic pose, enhances the overall impact! Furthermore, this release will include two sets of interchangeable arm parts, allowing you to swap his weapon between a pistol and a pen, recreating iconic scenes from the series!
