X-PLUS's American subsidiary, XPNA (X Plus North America Corp), a Japanese high-quality figure manufacturer, is launching a new limited edition product in its new "Toho Kaiju Wars Series" line, alongside the "Godzilla (Legendary Statue)": the "Godzilla (1954)" Limited Edition Figure, based on the classic 1954 Godzilla film. It has a suggested retail price of $69.99 and is expected to be released in July 2025!
Released in 1954, "Godzilla" was directed by Ishiro Honda with Eiji Tsuburaya in charge of special effects. Inspired by the 1953 American film "The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms," it tells the story of Godzilla, an ancient deep-sea behemoth awakened by human hydrogen bomb testing, who then attacks Tokyo, the capital of Japan, like a destructive deity.
This XPNA Godzilla figure adopts the Godzilla design from the original film, standing approximately 16 cm tall. It faithfully recreates his more streamlined and muscular appearance compared to earlier prototypes, with rough textures sculpted on his skin and dorsal fins, and sharp claws meticulously reproduced!
