SQUARE ENIX and Japanese figure manufacturer GOOD SMILE COMPANY have announced the latest product from their new "FINAL FANTASY" series of 1/6.5 scale figures, the "Lightning" figure from "Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII", slated for release in March 2026.
The protagonist of "Final Fantasy XIII", Lightning, whose real name is "Claire Farron", was originally a Sanctum soldier who rose up against the government to save her sister "Serah" after she became a l'Cie. The powerful Lightning possesses a somewhat stubborn personality, a strong sense of responsibility, and dislikes relying on others. Her appearance, which combines the charm of a mature woman with a heroic spirit, along with her incredibly cool in-game actions, has made her one of the most popular characters in the series, even becoming the spokesperson for the fashion brand LV Series 4 in 2016.
The "Lightning 1/6.5 Scale Pre-Painted Figure", standing at a total height of 27 cm, sculpts Lightning's beautiful figure in a moment of looking back. Through intricate sculpting, it captures her flowing hair, three-dimensional facial features, and the textured feel of her clothing and leather. It also boasts rich color applications to depict the gradient of her hair color and vibrant facial makeup, showcasing a beautiful yet cool expression. The interplay of light and shadow on her entire outfit and metallic components are also rendered with rich color applications, with particular attention paid to her signature weapon, the "Blazefire Saber", meticulously recreating the details of each part and the color variations of its blade.
