Aniplex, a Japanese company, has announced a new product based on the popular anime "My Dress-Up Darling": the "Marin Kitagawa Race Queen Ver." 1/7 scale pre-painted figure. It will retail for 22,000 JPY and is slated for release in March 2026!
"My Dress-Up Darling" is a manga series by Shinichi Fukuda, which began serialization in "Young Gangan" in 2018. CloverWorks adapted it into a TV anime in 2022. The story follows Wakana Gojo, who loves making Hina dolls due to his grandfather's influence, and through a twist of fate, begins crafting costumes for his classmate Marin Kitagawa, an avid cosplayer. The original manga officially concluded last month, and a new season of the anime is set to premiere in July, building considerable anticipation!
This "Marin Kitagawa Race Queen Ver." 1/7 scale pre-painted figure stands approximately 23 cm tall. It brings to life an original illustration specially drawn for this figure, presenting Marin in a dazzling race queen outfit. The sculpt beautifully captures her slender and appealing body curves, reproducing the soft texture of her skin. Her flowing hair adds a dynamic element to the overall composition. The jacket, shorts, and long boots are finished with glossy paint to replicate the texture of patent leather. Her playful smile is meticulously printed, showcasing a charm distinct from her in-character cosplay looks.
