Mashin Souseiden: "Raijinmaru Plastic Model" Information Unveiled! The New Mashin Piloted by a Villain's Subordinate is Here!

BANDAI SPIRITS HOBBY Division in Japan today announced the latest plastic model kit product, "Raijinmaru," from the new anime series "Mashin Souseiden," scheduled for release in May 2025.

"Mashin Souseiden" is a completely new work that inherits the essence and some settings of "Mashin Hero Wataru," passing the series on to the next generation. The protagonist, Wataru Hoshibe, is a fourth-grade elementary school video creator who dreams of becoming a superstar. One day, he is summoned to the alternate world of "Soubekai" to become its savior. In this block-filled alternate world, reminiscent of a sandbox game, Wataru can use blocks to create various objects, including the Mashin "Ryujinmaru," which houses a dragon soul. They embark on a journey to defeat the final boss, "Enjodatsu," fighting alongside companions such as the swordsman Mifurain and popular VTuber Maro.

The newly revealed Mashin, "Raijinmaru," is piloted by "Goraion," a subordinate of Enjodatsu whose appearance is almost identical to Mifurain. Not only is its name "Raijin," corresponding to "Fujin" (Wind God) in Japanese mythology, but Raijinmaru's external design is also nearly identical to Fujinmaru.

The plastic model kit "Raijinmaru" is modified from Fujinmaru, utilizing numerous new parts to recreate its distinct shoulder armor, helmet with a lightning bolt symbol, and the "Raijin Drum" and "Raimeiken" (Thunder Roar Sword) armaments mounted on its back. Both weapons are rendered with clear parts, and the two Raimeiken can also transform into tachi (long sword) forms. Thanks to the flexible articulation provided by the common frame, various battle poses can be achieved.
