US toy company Mattel's online sales platform, Mattel Creations, which collaborates with fan creators to sell products, will release a new item in the "Origins" series, which reimagines the 80s "Masters of the Universe" toy line with new specifications. The new product is the "Hurricane Hordak" 5.5-inch action figure, with a suggested retail price of US$25. It will be available for purchase on the Mattel Creations official website starting at 09:00 AM Pacific Time on April 23, 2025!
After Hordak was freed from Despondos, where he was banished by Evil-Lyn, he returned with his Horde army to attempt to conquer Eternia once more. However, he discovered that his former student, Skeletor, had already ascended to the throne. Thus, Hordak upgraded his armor, equipping a Hurricane Blaster to fight Skeletor to the death!
This Hurricane Hordak figure stands approximately 13.9 cm tall. Its design is a reimagining of the version that first appeared in the classic toy line in 1986, with added articulation at the elbows and ankles for more diverse dynamic posing. The sculpting faithfully recreates the classic toy's appearance, and new technology is used to reproduce the original classic electroplated gold chest armor! The accessories once again include three weapons that can be installed on the arm's rotating device, and it also comes with an alternate head sculpt inspired by the Filmation animated version, offering a richer play experience!
